Dreaming of ex and my friend (sorry it’s so long)

Ok so a couple of days ago I had a really weird dream which freaked me out (for background purposes I am married to my second husband and the friend I dreamt about has never met my ex and does not know him and she also has kids. My husband and her kids did not come up in the dream)

So I dreamt that my friend and I moved from one country town to another to live together in a house. We then went on holiday and flew to the capital of our state which is where my family is, but we didn’t stay with my family and got a hotel room.

Then I picked up my mum in a car and dropped her off somewhere else. As soon as I dropped her off, I noticed my ex husband was crossing the road. I parked the car and decided to get some shopping which happened to be the same direction that he was walking in, so it turned out that I followed him. I continued on with my shopping and I noticed that he met up with a woman - I assumed his girlfriend and didn’t really care, so went back to what I was doing.

After shopping I drove back to the hotel room and was talking to my friend and hanging out. Next thing we know, my ex was banging on the door wanting to talk to me. I pretended that I wasn’t there and my friend was telling him to go away. I heard him ask how she had been lately. He also told her that if I really wasn’t there, then she had to tell him where I was and if I was there then she had to let him in - she did neither!! He kept trying to talk to her and be friendly and to find out where I was. He yelled through the door at one point and assumed I was there and said that I was being childish and that he needed to talk to me. I still didn’t answer.

After a little time had passed we realised it got quiet and I noticed a bag of clothes at the door. My friend opened the door and grabbed the bag and realised that my ex was still there. He tried to barge his way in but my friend managed to shut him out.

5 mins later there was a knock at the door and it was a cop friend of ours (we don’t know anyone who is a cop) and we met him in. We were talking to him when I realised that my ex’s van was still parked outside our hotel window and that him and his girlfriend could see us.

All of a sudden his girlfriend was knocking in the door and again i didn’t want to talk to her, so my friend tried to get her to leave. She pushed her way in and started having a go at me and telling me to leave my ex alone and that if it wasn’t for me, he wouldn’t be a wreck and that I have no right to not leave him alone. I got so annoyed and yelled at her and said “he is the one who won’t leave me alone. He always finds out where I am and where I go. He has driven past my parents place to see if I’m there and always has to know what is happening in my life!! He is the one who said that it doesn’t matter where I go, or anything about my life, he will always be able to find me. And that I’ll never be rid of him!” When his girlfriend tried to have another go at me, my cop friend intervened and told her to back off and that I have done nothing wrong and she needs to get my ex under control before he does something stupid. She looked like she was going to argue, but ended up just leaving in a really big shitty.

I then said to my friend that it was a pity we didn’t have a car, as we could have left earlier to go back home and she agreed. The dream ended with us getting our male cop friend to try on these clothes that were left which were all female clothes and even included dresses - which we all found hilarious

Side note - I do not see or talk to my ex husband and we did not end on very good terms. Yes, he has done the stalking thing and has said that he’d be able to find me if he so wanted. I split from him 7 years ago. My friend is dealing with a separation as well and I don’t see this being sorted out any time soon. I have no feelings for my ex and I love my husband very much - he is my rock
