Ok, does Cove sound too much like Covid??

Question

So I posted on the baby names group, but people are RUDEE and too blunt for me on there lol. Figured you girls would have better input. Be honest though!
Our June baby is named Canyon, and we want to stick with nature names for baby #2. My husband and I both really like the name Cove for a girl, but people are saying everyone will just think of Covid. 
I figure the virus won’t last forever, so why would it matter in the long run? What do y’all think?
I know we will probably change our minds 100 times before the baby comes, but still curious lol 😆

I actually think it’s a really lovely name but if I’m honest I think it does remind me of Covid 😞 I think when she’s older it won’t matter at all but when she’s 1st born I bet you’ll get a lot of remarks about her name and people may think she was named after the virus which I wouldn’t want if it was me!
However it is a lovely name and if you’re settled on it and can cope with the above then just go for it! It’s just a shame the virus has a similar sounding name 😩

Personally it does sound like COVID to me, but like you said as she grows up that won’t be what people think. You should name her whatever name you guys love the most.

I love the idea of nature names! I think it's a little close to it. There's so many memes right now about kids being named after the virus I fear that will come up. But like it you said it won't last forever.  If you like it, go for it! 
You've probably already thought of this but Cypress makes a pretty nature name.

It does sound like covid without a D. And the people in her life who know when she will be born will always remember it was around covid-19 period so they might even tell your baby she was named after the sickness. Nice name but it ain't a good time to name her that. Am sorry. Maybe use it as a middle name if you really want it. Or give her the name and don't tell too many about it until this has settled. U can give her a baby nickname for people to use until when u r ready to disclose your name. ...I would leave the name.

Cove does sound like COVID, butttt I’m sure no one will point that out years down the road. I personally love Cove for a girl. You could also do Cameilla. I looked it up and it said it was related to nature, not sure how true that is lol. But it’s also super cute!
