COVID 2 month old deadly?

I have a 2 month old and everything is just freaking me out so bad I’ve read that it’s deadly for older people with existing medical conditions what about newborns have you read anything different ? Do u know of a 2 month old or baby that got the virus ?

It’s a very serious virus but it has not been shown to be particularly dangerous to children. There have been a few deaths in infants but they’ve not been ruled as solely being caused by COVID. Two had serious underlying health conditions and one (the believe) was actual killed from a household accident and tested positive postmortem. The hospitalization rate for children under the age of 17 is also very very low (less than 1%). To be completely honest, I’d be (and am) 10 times more concerned about my baby getting RSV and/or the flu.

Theres been nonreputable report made of an infant dying from COVID-19 without an severe underlying circumstance. All the evidence suggests that babies and young children are the MOST safe demographic in this pandemic.

I know there have been reports of babies dying of cob if-19. However, those babies had not yet been autopsied so there’s really no confirmation that they indeed died of the virus, it was only reported that way because they were positive for it. I would take precautions, but don’t let the unknown ruin your day
