Worst cramps of my life

Period came yesterday and I started getting the worst cramps of my life. I was sweating from pain , nauseous and light headed. Then I noticed my period blood smells awful!! I’ve never had this happen before so it startled me. It usually smells metallic but it smells almost rotten now? And it’s so heavy. Is this sudden change normal. These cramps are insanely painful.
