How long do you typically burp your LO? Are you breastfeeding or bottle feeding?

I was told breastfed babies won’t burp as much as bottle fed babies, so I’m not sure how long I should be burping my baby for (we exclusively breastfeed). He’s been getting a lot of spit up though I feel like, I’m not sure if it’s because I just over feed him or because I don’t burp him good enough or what. I let him eat until he seems full though. Sometimes he will spit up and instantly want the boob again and I’m not sure if I should let him keep going or not. I don’t want him eating himself sick, but I also don’t want to deny him the boob. 😖
