So my fiancé had a common cold last week. He went to work 04/07/2020 & was sent home. We did an evisit 04/08/2020 which is when he was diagnosed. So he returned to work today with a note from his doctor stating from 4/8-4/15 he was self quarantine due to common cold symptoms & was cleared to return to work. When he got to work today they terminated him. He is union employee so he is going back today when his rep comes in to meet. Can they fire him like that? This is frustrating because we are clearly expecting 07/29 it’s going to be hard for him to get another job. His wallet was stolen with his ID the dmv is closed it’s just a messed. I’ve been crying all morning. He seems calm but I am not.
