8 weeks for first appointment ?

I’m a little over 4 weeks and made an appointment with an obgyn but they automatically set it for 8 weeks. I’m worried if there’s something going on that will be too late, like low progesterone or something. Did anyone need any treatment before 8 weeks or is it fine to wait?

8 weeks is standard unless you have a history of issues in pregnancy. I was seen at 6 weeks 3 days but I have a history of miscarriage.

Most doctors won’t check you until around 8 weeks bc you can’t see much before that unless you’ve have problems before. I had an ectopic and lost my tube so with this pregnancy i was seen soon to check my hormone levels but still did not do an ultrasound until 8 weeks

My first appointment for all 3 babies (I'm currently 9 weeks with the 3rd) was at 8 weeks! It's just paper work and blood work at my dr! Then at 10 weeks they have me come back for my first ultrasound! The wait is long but it's also kind of nice to have baby actually look like a baby in the first picture!
