It doesnt matter where he is. It matters where he's going. If hes been in the same minimum wage job for the last 10 years and has no ambition...I'd pass. Not because I need more money but it shows he isn't bettering himself and I need a partner who is working with me on improving our life. I'm not happy settling.

People say they don’t care but when your looking to build a future with someone it does matter. You need to find out his story. If he’s had the same minimum wage job for a while I think it’s safe to say he’s happy with his income and he’s not trying to better himself or his future. If he’s recently got laid off and he’s just settling for any job I think that would be ok.

Why would his income matter? As long as he works hard and lives within he’s means, I don’t care what his paycheck is. If I liked him, I would date him.

Wow! I feel for some guys! Just because he's been in the same "minimim wage" position for 10 years doesn't mean he doesn't want to better himself or has no ambition. Maybe he just actually really likes his job and that's not something you come across everyday. I've had plenty of opportunities to further myself in my job but i chose not to, does that mean i have no ambition and don't want to better myself? No, it means I'm happy with my job how it is.

If he’s 20 then yes... but I would expect that by 30 he would have established himself a career or worked his way up somewhere. It depends on his story obviously.
