Struggling
My goal was 6 months. I've made it 7.5! My next mini goal is 10 months. It has been extremely difficult. The first 6 months was a bit easier as I was nursing often and pumped a small supply, in the beginning, that was stored in the freezer. At 6 months, my milk supply was slowing down and my freezer stash was used up. I work and since my industry is considered essential, I still pump during the day and nurse at night. If I'm lucky, I'll get 2-4oz a pump session (I used to get 5-8oz a pump session) and I have started pumping more than nursing. I still barely manage to nurse her at home, but an hour after a nursing session I pump because I know she'll be hungry soon and I need to get her bottles for day care. Every day has been a struggle between stress from work and trying to make sure baby girl is taken care of. I want to hit my next mini goal, but I'm worried I won't make it. I'm proud I got this far (my son never latched and my milk didn't come in so he was a formula babe). My concern is during this crazy time I want to make sure she's as well protected as possible.
