Have you taught your baby emotions?

My baby has been having difficulties with tantrums.. should i start teaching her about emotion? Is it too young for her to understand and learn to control it? She understands commands really well and know how to answer back, idk if that shows i can start reasoning with her instead of only saying no?

We always try to talk and reason with our babies, just talk to them like adults, but our first didn’t really start being able to calm himself down until he was 3.

I always try to name her feelings “I see you’re feeling frustrated!” I empathize “I can tell you really wanted that toy!” But I do set boundaries if she’s doing something that’s not ok “.. but I can’t let you hit mommy. I am going to move your hands and help you until you can calm your body down”. I don’t think she gets it, but it’s good practice for when she’s 2 🤪 I always let her feel her feelings, and I think it’s important to approach her with calm and peace

I think it’s great to start teaching them what emotions are and how to unfruitful them. I wouldn’t expect them to be able to calm them self’s without help just yet but knowing when you need to us a great start at any age
