16 inch newborn too small?

Hey everyone. So my cousins girlfriend just gave birth to their baby girl today. She was born full term at 40 weeks in her due date and weighed 6lbs 13oz but is only 16 inches long. I’ve heard of many light babies but does 16 inches seem too short?

It’s below average from what I’ve read. I don’t think it’s “too short” per se if the baby is healthy otherwise

No, that's not that small. My babies were both 20" and considered to be really long. 16-17" is fairly average if I remember the growth charts correctly.

The normal range for a newborn is 18-22 inches so 16 inches is small. I was born at 22 inches and I’m 5’4 now. My sibling was 21. My girl was 20 inches when born.

Seems small - both length and weight, but weight for length ratio seems healthy. 
A friend of a friend had a 2 vessel cord which limited growth so her baby was born full term at 4 lbs (don’t recall length).  But some babies are just small.
