Something I saw on TV..
So, I saw on tv that when an officer is killed, then it’s “like pushing the on switch” and “resources just start pouring in.” Towns are swarmed with people looking for suspects and clues etc.
My question:
If we had this reaction for EVERY murder, and not just for a fallen officer, do you think it would have an impact on murder rates?
Might it detour some from going through with the murder?
Maybe not, just a thought. Also, I am in no way an expert on this, I have no relatable background to law enforcement or their tactics. It’s just based off of things I’ve heard.
First thoughts, any murder should push the on switch. All victims, regardless of occupation, deserve some kind of justice and I think they should be handled equally.
