Our gorgeous girl arrived 19.4.20 after the most perfect birth! I absolutely loved the whole experience and this girl is a DREAM ❤️

Quick Birth Story -

Came in for induction at 9:30, waters broken at 10:30, by 2:30 I was 4cm and as I’d wanted a home birth but they had been cancelled the midwives allowed me onto the MLU with a lovely big pool which was amazing of them 😍 I went over to our room at about 3:30, my other half came up at this point and I laboured out of the pool with gas and air and my tens machine (which was waaaaay better than I thought it would be btw- would defo recommend). I felt so calm and relaxed the midwife kept commenting on how chilled I was!

This is where it gets a bit hazy lol, I was examined again about 6:45 I think and I was now 7cm and contractions were nice and strong but I was still managing okay using my breathing & gas and air. I decided it was time for the pool and honestly it was like someone flipped a switch 😂 I shouted out OOOOOO SOMETHINGS DIFFERENT with my 2nd contraction in the pool and then I went full mammal mode it was insane, my body just took over. Baby was born in the pool at 7:55 and I’ve never felt anything like it, I felt like a superhero it was WILD 😂

Our gorgeous girl Freya Sylvie weighed 9lb5! Bigger than my son was but she seems soo dinky.

It was everything I wanted for this birth and I can’t thank the midwives enough ❤️
