#2 Pregnancy Has Been The WORST

Alyssa

I have a 15 month old whose pregnancy was relatively easy. I had minimal nausea, no strep infection, no issues other than unexplained weight loss in the first trimester. I developed pregnancy carpal tunnel in both wrists halfway through the pregnancy, and honestly it could've easily been because I was working 4 jobs at the time. I had preeclampsia and delivered at 35 weeks. Now I'm 10 weeks with baby number 2, and my doctor did a bunch of tests they never did last time to get a baseline so they can track me and prevent or treat the preeclampsia before it gets so bad I have to deliver early again, and one result showed I had strep B which required antibiotics that could only be taken 2-3 hours after I last ate and 1 hour before eating. The tests also revealed my body is in ketosis?! And I've been steadily losing weight again. Now granted, I am very overweight, so I'm not really complaining about the weight loss, but seriously? How do I enter ketosis when I get pregnant? I have gotten sick all day, even so much as the nausea wakes me at night, since basically 2 weeks after I conceived. When I do sleep, I have absolutely terrible, vivid nightmares that something is wrong with the baby (I am getting strong boy vibes, and have been dreaming I'll have a boy). Between the constant need to pee, waking up sick, and these nightmares, I am not sleeping well. My cravings change constantly! So one day I want orange rolls, I make enough for leftovers, the next day I go to eat one and nope, sick. Stew sounds good, I make that, devour it for dinner, but the next 3 days I cannot even look at the container without my stomach churning. Anyone else have an easy first pregnany and then got slammed with a tough second? Not even cleared of the first trimester and this hasn't eased even a little bit. 😣
