Why he “cheated”

So I posted a couple of days ago how my bf who was my best friend of 3 years “cheated” on me. Couple of things-

We were best friends for 3/4 years just recently took that next step.

He’s 28 I’m 25

I went through his phone and found stuff.

A girl called him at 2am when we live together and I went through text him asking why she called and she said she was going to come over

He sent me to go get groceries to see the text later that day- they were on the phone and he was asking her for a selfie

Also saw him telling a girl he wants a kiss

And naked pictures of a female

I begged him to just tell me why, since he’s my “best friend” I deserve to know why. I didn’t want to continue though

Ladies... his reason..

“We were arguing a lot and I got out of a similar relationship where we were arguing so constant so I hated it. Left that relationship just to get into the same thing, this one..”

So I said what was the reason to message those girls what did THAT do for you

He said

“Because I just wanted to have a good conversation, not argument. No female complaining to me or about something I’m doing so I talked to other females and had good conversations with them”

I couldn’t believe it. I’m just mad, a fucking 28 year old “man” did what he did because we were having a rough patch..

My own best friend couldn’t break up with me and I even asked him why didn’t he just break up with me

He respond because he still wanted this.

I couldn’t help but laugh. I was with a child.
