Would you be mad?

Okay so I work very very hard. Im 19 and before the pandemic hit I had 3 jobs. I was a farm hand, A maid, and I worked at a greenhouse and did landscaping. I work hard to pay my bills and Im very proud of myself.

I was talking to this person, ill call them Sam. Well sam doesn't know me to well and we were just chatting. We started talking about work, I told them what I did before the pandemic, and sam replied with "oh that sounds like a nice hobby!" Now I dont think that they meant any harm, but when I told them how I felt they just said "agree to disagree" and I wasnt disrespectful towards them even though I was very very pissed all I had said was "I dont appreciate you calling it a hobby because thats how I pay my bills."

Now maybe its the hormones because ive been very irritable lately, but Im really upset and just stopped talking to sam. I just want to know if anyone else would be mad and if I was overreacting 😅
