Stealing cousin’s baby name?

Question

My husband’s cousin had a daughter a little over a year ago and she has THE cutest name. So cute that we are seriously considering copying it if we end up having a girl. I’m curious what everyone thinks about this?
We maybe see the dad once a year, I have personally never met the mom or daughter (or any of their other kids). But they would be fairly closely related, they live about 2 hours away from us, it’s possible they would interact mayyyybe once a year (if that), they would have the same exact first and last name and be about 2 years apart. 
We have not talked to the cousin yet, my husband thinks he will be annoyed but also thinks it’s 100% worth it and is not at all bothered. 😂

I would NOT do it because you said they would have the exact first and LAST name. That’s just confusing to me. Plus, I would hate if they did that to me. Specially because the last name would be the same.

Maybe I’m the odd one out but I’d be pissed if someone from my husbands family took our daughters name, regardless of how often we see them or speak to them, you know and they’d know it came from them. It would be different if the pregnancies were close and just happen to have the same name but you’re straight up taking it? Without asking? I was named after my mother’s best friend but she asked and it was a sweet thing. This situation doesn’t sit well with me. There are lots of other names...

Normally I would say yes BUT I say no if the children will have the exact same first and last name. It may cause a lot of problems as they get older having the exact same name. I’ve worked for the government for years and it’s a damn nightmare when people name their family members the same name. 
However if you love it that much consider different spelling and different middle name.

Do itttt! Lol We have our baby name picked out (haven’t told anyone) and I said if anyone happens to use it I don’t care who it is. I don’t care if they think I’m copying them. I am using it still. 😂😅😊 thats just how much I love it.

Spell it differently if anything, because the same first and last name thing can get confusing for not only them but others.

Look.. my Step Mother in law named her 1st daughter Samantha... her brother had a daughter 6 years later and named her Samantha. 
Wanting to use a name from a cousin you hardly see doesn’t seem so bad now 🙈
