Monogrammed

What is with the monogramming obsession? My mother in law went crazy with my first and some things that my daughter didn’t use or like I took a seam ripper to it an undid the monogram. Now with my second one, we’re almost 33 weeks and just told her the baby name we picked out she wants to get a milestone blanket with the babies name all over it. I picked out a really cute one that even my husband liked and it has hearts and a rainbow on it with the months/weeks and numbers on it (nothing special but totally different than the one my first daughter had) and she told me that she’s getting one with the babies name on it and if I was still set on the name we picked out 🤦🏻‍♀️ then to top it off my husband changed his mind and agreed with his mom and that it was her thing and just accept that she’ll get whatever she wants. So what’s the point of telling me to pick something out that I like if she’s going to do her own thing anyways 🤦🏻‍♀️
