Diaper routine and recommended products?

Hi All! I’m a first time mom and I’m wondering what everyone’s daily diapering routine is... which lotions, creams or any other products do you use? What do you recommend when there’s a rash? I’m completely lost so would appreciate all of your recommendations 😊😊😊

I hate to say this but you feel like you know absolutely nothing right now but as soon as they hand you your baby, it just clicks! 😂 Magically you just know and I’m sure a lot of moms would agree! Everyone will have their preference because some are organic and some prefer chemical free and there is gonna be too many options to chose from! Go with your gut and you’ll do great! Every baby is different and gonna use different stuff and react differently so In the end he/she will also ultimately decide! 😂 it’s frustrating as hell but you’ll get through it!

Triple paste is the best at least for my daughter! Nothing else worked for her when she’d get a rash! I found that after changing the diaper to let them air dry. Really helps with preventing rashes

I use to go through 10-15 diapers a day until my girl reached 3 months. I would change her even if she was sleeping. 
I did use sensitive wipes, just because I have a lot of sensitivities to perfumes and I didn’t want her to break out. Which I lucked out because she only ever got one rash. 
I went through 7-10 diapers until she was a year old.  
After that is slowed a lot. She would tell me when she needed to be changed. So I started potty training. 
Every kiddo is different though and every Mom is different. You will find what works best for you and baby.

My LO is 17 months.. we changed whenever his diaper was wet/dirty when he was younger, and desitin worked well for us, we only applied it when his bottom or groin was red. We use Johnson’s lavender lotion after bath time, before bedtime. He takes a bath maybe 2-3 times a week.

My daughter rarely gets rashes, but when she does the Weleda cream works really well for her. Diapering routines will change as they get older, but in the very beginning I would change her diaper before every feed (she would wake and feed every hour and a half to two hours), because as someone else said, newborns fall asleep while feeding and you won’t want to wake them to change their diaper.

My daughter is 14 months and I’m still changing her about every 2 hours like when she was an infant. When she was an infant, I’d change her whenever she woke up to eat. It’s better to change the diaper before you feed because then they can just go right back to sleep.
I bought Bordeaux diaper cream bc i found that to work the best on my residents at work.  I only use it when she looks red.  Now that she sleeps through the night, we put Vaseline on her as a barrier cream.
I suggest you only use wipes for poppy diapers as wipes can cause rashes. We use toilet paper to dry her off after pee diapers per her pediatrician.
