Have you and your spouse ever argued about whether or not to have (more) children?

Yes, we discussed children before marriage. We both knew we wanted kids, but at the time, we were both undecided about how many we wanted.

We discuss it... alot! Lol I'm a big talker and big planner.. my hubby *loves* it! 😂
From the start I knew we'd have at least have 2 kids together.. 3 tota(he has one from previous marriage) right now we are where I partially imagined we would be years ago.. 2 boys and 1 girl. 
I am now at the difficult decision of baby #4 (hubby is content either way and I am unsure!) we also had 2 boy names and 2 girl names picked from the beginning so we are down to 1 boy name and 1 girl name. It's a hard decision!! The others weren't even a thought if that makes sense I absolutely knew since I was 5 I'd have at least 2 children and of course my oldest is an added bonus! 💙💚💜

When my husband and I were first dating he said he wanted kidS. In the plural. As the years went on he started shrinking that number down. I was steadfast on at least 2 (I used to want more but after a horrible newborn phase I decided 2 was plenty). When I was pregnant he said “let’s see how the first one goes before I we decide to have more.” I agreed. But the first one has gone fine so to me that indicates let’s have another. He still doesn’t want more. I think it’s a combination of he doesn’t like paying $800/mo in childcare expenses, and the fact that most (basically all) of his friends don’t have kids or he just isn’t mature enough yet to sacrifice more. Our daughter isn’t even 2 yet and I don’t even want another one yet, but in a year or so I would like to start trying again so we’re going to have to figure this out. Plus our house isn’t big enough for 2 kids so we’ll have to move first.

My husband always said he only wanted two while I always said 3-4. We agreed the minimum would be 2 and we will decide if we want more later. Early on in our relationship we picked out 2 boy names and 2 girl names so we knew names as soon as we knew gender. We’ve now had a girl and a boy and recently decided we are done. It’s different than what I’ve always pictured but I’m happy with the decision. 
My husband has told me if I wanted another we could have one so it’s completely my decision and I know what we’ve decided is best.

We both liked the idea of two, but after our first, my pre-existing but under control anxiety & panic disorders (and depression with it) got really bad, and my meds stopped working with the hormone change. I wasn’t able to leave the house out of fear of panic attacks, I felt down and angry at myself often for feeling the way I did, and it really impacted things till I found a new medication that worked around 8 months ago. He doesn’t want to see me go through that again, and the impact it had on our family. But I really want a second child... may not happen. But still so thankful for my girl ☺️

We were on the fence about 2 or 3, with our finances we can only afford daycare for 2, so that solved that. The major discussion is when to have our second. But its the same as it was for our first. I'm ready, he wants to wait a year. We waited last time and honestly everything worked out fine. So we will likely wait again.

We always agreed to have 2. After having my first last year I wasn’t so down to have another one, but he still really wanted 2. I told myself.. what’s one more 😅. But I made him promise if baby was the same gender as the forst we were not having a third lol

When we got together I wanted 4 he wanted 3 so after multiple conversations we settled on 3. After my second was born (2 boys) he said he wanted no more and I was crush we fought about it alot. I wanted atleast 3 and definitely a little girl. Then he eventually changed his mind because he wanted to try for a girl as well. So we did, had my daughter now we're pregnant with #4 babygirl #2 and hea joking about wanting 10 kids (hell no). Lol it's been a rollercoaster of feelings.

We don’t argue about it. But we definitely talk about it. I’m 30w with baby #2 & lately he’s brought up a vasectomy when we’re done having kids. I said perfect! If I happen to have a csection I’ll get my tubes tied but otherwise I think you taking one for the team is great 😂. But we are both super on the fence if we want one more or not & cant seem to decide.
