when should i take my nipple piercings out?

i guess the title is self explanatory 😅
i got my nipple’s done a few years ago and i already read that it was good to help milk flow for bf moms(which i plan to do) but is there a certain time i should take them out before delivery or am i good to keep them in until i deliver?

I took mine out a few days before 33 weeks. I would personally take them out ASAP, so they can heal before breastfeeding. Do some sea salt soaks too.

I took mine out around 33 weeks as well after I did a belly cast and decided not to put them back in. I’ve had them for 4 years and they will probably close as I plan to nurse exclusively for at least a year and just don’t feel like taking them off/putting them back in so often. Maybe they won’t but I’m betting they will. My belly button I’m not taking out unless they ask me to during L&D bc it just hasn’t popped out with this one like my others

I didn’t take mine out with my first until breastfeeding and I’d just put them back in after feeds. But my nipples got too painful due to poor latch and I just left them out eventually. After this final baby (my 3rd) weens, I’ll get them re-pierced.

Nope, I'm just gonna keep them clean and wash them. Take them out while im breast feeding but im gonna try to keep them
