Best diaper pail?

Looking for a diaper pail that doesn’t smell?  What do you mamas recommend between the Ubbi, Diaper Genie, or Munchkin Step Diaper Pail?

I was set on getting the Ubbi but ended up buying this for about half the price. It does a great job at blocking out smells and is just super simple to use. I believe it has a lock on the inside door if needed.

We’re happy with our Ubbi. No special bags required so we just use cheap ones from Costco, and it even works with a washable cloth bag if you ever decide to cloth diaper. The steel doesn’t absorb the smell, but between bag changes I usually like to keep it open for a little bit to completely air it out. I also love that it comes in a variety of colors to match your decor. The toddler lock was also a lifesaver lol. Almost 3 years later it smells and looks the same as the day we bought it so now that my first baby is potty trained we’re saving it for baby #2.
Also, a good trick I learned for whichever diaper pail you buy is to wrap your baby’s poopy diapers in a doggy bag before throwing it away, especially once your baby starts solids and has foul smelling poop. We never had issues with our Ubbi smelling when it was closed, however the doggy bag trick helped to avoid any leaks when you have to open your pail temporarily to put a new diaper in.

I absolutely love my munchkin step. I like that it’s taller and has a foot pedal, so I’m not constantly bending over to get to it. It does a great job containing the stink.

This is a great, affordable diaper pail. Love that can be used as a regular trash can later on and doesn’t require crazy expensive special purpose bags. I love the step mechanism and how you don’t have to push down dirty diapers with your hands!

It's slim so it fits anywhere and takes regular small garbage bags without needing special inserts.

They're all great until 6 months or so. I found it easier to use a regular trash can,  and for poopy diapers I got small trash baggies, tie it and throw it out if the main trashcan isn't full yet. After my first kid, I didn't use a diaper pail again. The cost of bags, the stink, the having to change an additional pail, keeping it clean and deodorized....it wasn't helpful over time.

We are doing the munchkin. I like that the bags are easy to use. You clip them closed before pulling the whole bag out so there’s no tying up a stinky bag or having to be in contact with it for too long. Easy and not so smelly lol. I think you can also use the bags that the diaper genie uses too but I prefer the clip close ones.
