Break up?

I really like my boyfriend and he’s really cute and always a gentleman when we’re together, but friggin quarantine, man. He never even reads my messages. Every time I text him, I’m left on delivered for a week. Sometimes he’ll respond but mostly he will see it a week later and disappear again. He keeps saying that he didn’t see the notification, but I try to talk to him almost every other day. I doubt that he just “didn’t see” six notifications over the course of two weeks. And if I don’t reply within five minutes, he doesn’t get my message for ANOTHER week.

He’s said that he is nervous that he’ll say the wrong thing and I’ll leave, but he isn’t saying anything at all. He isn’t putting any effort in. He’s my first, so I wanna give him a chance, and I don’t want to hurt him but... I don’t want to be dating a wall. I want to date someone who talks to me and tries and holds my hand(outside of quarantine). And I feel like that should be a given in dating, but I guess it isn’t and I feel selfish for wanting it.
