Gestational Hypertension

Madison

I am currently 35+2. So last weekend I randomly developed a headache and decided to take blood pressure. It stayed over 140/90 all weekend with the highest being 159/112. So I called the on call dr on Sunday, he said to just try to get an appt with my dr this week.

Monday morning called the dr, she wanted to see me immediately. Went to her office, she checked my blood pressure twice (140/95 range), and checked my urine with dipstick and it came back 1+.

She admitted me into hospital for 24 hour monitoring and 24 hour urine collection. At the hospital blood pressure was high (150s/90s) the first 3 readings then normalish the rest of the time I was there. Lab work fine. 24 hour urine came back with a count of 269. Which was explained to me as high but not high enough for preeclampsia(300).

I was discharged and sent home with instructions if blood pressure ever stays above 140/90 or at any point reaches 160/110 to immediately come in or call dr.

Since I've been home my blood pressure is moderately high again (130s/90s).

Oh and also this is while I'm on strict bed rest which I have been for a month now due to other things.

I'm just trying to figure out if this is normal or something I should be worried about? I normally have hypotension, and this high blood pressure thing is really throwing me for a loop.

Also, should I be worried about possible induction?

Just wanted to hear from people that have some experience with this!!
