Being told he’s bad/trouble, would you still get into a relationship with him

Let’s say you meet a homeless guy around your age at a festival and everyone keeps warning you about him that he’s bad and trouble and he’s facing 5-10 years in prison. Would you still get into a relationship with him?

For me, I wouldn’t as I’ve had a similar experience where this guy lied about being homeless and on meth and it turned into an abusive relationship. Found out pretty quickly, didn’t have enough self love to leave soon enough so when I did want to leave, he would let me and I was stuck. On social media tho, I made it seem like everything was amazing and great, but I truly wouldn’t want to tame an angry man anymore. I ignored what people were telling me and as much as I wanted to believe he changed and we were shedding layers, he was still angry. Wanted your guys take
