MRI safe?

I have some damage to my knee & see an orthopedic doctor tomorrow. Is it safe to have an MRI done while pregnant?

Typically safe after the first trimester. definitely mention it to them when you schedule and check in. They often have a long form they have you fill out before MRI asking if you’re pregnant, have any metal in your body, pace makers and other things like that.

I think so because its magnetic imaging but I don’t think they would want you to have IV contrast but for a joint I think they do local contrast if anything and I’m not sure if that’s safe or not. When they call to book an MRI there are about 50 questions they will ask you and one of them is if your pregnant so just let them know.
