do I qualify?

I’m 33 weeks pregnant with a babygirl!

my question is, will I be able to celebrate Mother’s Day?

It will be my very first Mother’s Day!

my partner and his brother say I’m not a mom yet because my baby isn’t physically here, so I don’t qualify to celebrate Mother’s Day.

his brother said “you aren’t a mom, you just want gifts already” which I found kind of rude and he ruined my happiness by saying dumb shit like that.... I don’t care about the gifts at all quite frankly don’t care or expect them, I’m just happy to finally get to celebrate a Mother’s Day.

I mean I know my babygirl isn’t here physically yet but she’s still there, I think I should be able to celebrate Mother’s Day since I am a mommy to be, and a mommy overall.
