Paying nursery school during pandemic ??
I live in the East coast and since middle of March they closed all schools, my toddler went to nursery school 3 times a week for 2 1/2 hours, when you sign up for school you can either pay upfront or pay monthly as everyone does ( I see parents make their payments monthly, as do I ) there is 7 kids in her class. We got a missed phone call and a Letter they dropped off in our mailbox somehow ( no stamp on it) stating that we need to pay for April, May and June as they are a private school. I’m just upset and confused, I definitely understand where they are coming from as this was expected and if we did pay up front they would have their money ( even though I could possibly ask for a refund for the missing months) but my issue is, why pay for services we aren’t receiving? They aren’t even doing anything remote like a Facebook page song a long or story time nothing to interact with the kids- which I get it they are little but I know my cousin has 2 toddlers whom isn’t required to pay since they are closed and they are doing music sessions twice a week for them. My question is should I pay the remainder of the months? Or don’t pay as my toddler isn’t attending and they are closed by law and state? I just want to make sure I do the right thing, I know this is a difficult time for everyone, I’m curious what would you do? Thank you!!
