Just life... how much do you pay in property taxes for your home? We want to buy our first home, but I am meticulous about our mortgage and property taxes. We are looking at a home that’s asking price is 305,000, with a history of property taxes for 2018 at $10,408 with a tax rate of 3.74. This is in Texas, not in a big city. Just trying to get the feel for the norm, especially if you live in Texas.
