Jealousy a dealbreaker?

Nobody is perfect. I know this. My bf and I have started getting really serious lately. He's really amazing in a lot of ways. The only thing kind of bugging me is that he gets jealous. He tells me he knows it's his own insecurities. He's had girlfriends in the past that have cheated on him, gone back to exes and left him, etc. But he wants to know what I'm doing on my phone all the time. An old friend of mine (a guy) from high school got in touch with me recently. All we've talked about is catching up (our respective kids, jobs, etc etc) and current events. I told my bf I was talking to him because I want him to know I'm not going to do him like his exes have. He told me he felt jealous and wanted to know if I had any interest in this guy. I told him no. Then he let the subject drop. Jealousy has always been a turn off for me but I get it that he's been hurt before and he acknowledges that it's him and not me and he doesn't get crazy about it. He just tells me how he feels. Still it just makes me feel weird.
