Is it normal for a guy to ignore you on his phone sometimes?

My boyfriend of one year is always saying how excited he is to see me and how much he misses me when we have to spend time apart, even though we text all the time except during work. I miss him too when we’re apart and always want to do things with him when we’re together, but today he was just watching videos on his phone while i sat there because i left my phone in another room. I told him I was bored and he said “Go get your phone.” I don’t know if it’s normal for him (on our only whole off day together in 2 weeks) to not want to spend time with me or if he doesn’t really care that i’m there.
