Husband and neighbor

So my husband is really good friends with the neighbors. Her husband is military and has currently been sent to another state for 6 months. This woman, who is 34, never got her license and has a 3 yr old. So, one day a few months ago she asked us to give her a ride to the grocery store. We have an almost 2 year old, so I stayed home with him while they went. No biggie. Well now, she has gotten super needy. She’s constantly needing my husband to take her to the grocery store, and since we live in the “boonies” these aren’t quick trips. Additionally, she has invited herself to dinner on one occasion, has asked my husband to help her with stuff around the house, and my husband most recently went to her house with some other males and stayed until 2:15 am. It’s just weird. Her husband has no issue with it, but I’m not a fan of the whole thing. Especially since she brings her daughter out to play if it’s me, my husband, and our son but not if it’s just me and my son.

Yesterday, on Mother’s Day mind you, she asks my husband to drive her to the grocery store. They left at 1:15 and got home at 4:15. Now, granted, we live about 30 mins from the grocery store but it was still a long time. I went off, because she’d had people at her house Saturday who could’ve taken her. I told him she needs to find someone else from now on. He told me I was overreacting, and then I kind of felt like a bitch because she brought me flowers and chocolate for Mother’s Day. The thing is, she’ll do stuff like that if she knows I’m irritated. I don’t know if she’s doing it to pacify me or if she wants to be friends. Regardless, it was just the principle of her asking my husband to drive her around on Mother’s Day instead of us spending time as a family, when she’d had people at her place the day before.

I asked my husband if he would be okay with me spending that much time with a male, and he said he wouldn’t care. Which I know is a lie. How do you ladies feel? Would you have a problem with your SO doing this?
