Where I live when it starts warming up (I live in the southeast, America. It gets super hot) the flies are horrible so when I met my SO and moved in with him, he noticed me swatting flies to get rid of them and he said I have a better way. At first, I laughed at him like there’s no way. So he began opening all the windows, you have to have screens for it to work, turn off the inside lights and told me just wait about 10 minutes and they will fly towards the light of the screen. Sure enough, it worked, then he closed the windows once they were on the screen and walked outside, took the screen off to let them out and bam. It actually worked. That was 7 years ago and I haven’t bought a fly swatter or those sticky things since! Some people may already know this. Some people may think we’re dumb but I just wanted to share because it worked for us. Summertime is approaching and so will those pesky bugs. I’ve used this technique for a horsefly and wasp too.
