Tips to get baby walking?

Is there something I should be doing?? He is capable and took first steps a month ago but refuses to walk.

Mine took Mine took about 1.5 months from when he took his first steps, to when he actually began walking independently. I was so stressed about getting him to practice but he refused and just did it when he was ready. 
My advice is be patient it’ll happen, he must be a good crawler. Mine crawled super early and was fast so he had no rush to walk right when he took his first steps.

My daughter took some steps a few weeks ago but now refuses. I’ve noticed she leans back when trying to walk. She didn’t crawl until 10 months though. Just starting to get worried.

Don’t rush it and don’t stress it. I felt the same with my daughter. It’s kinda like when they are ready they will do it on their own. You can get some of those toys they stand up with and can walk with wheels. But just wait, in no time you will be chasing after your little one!

Same! He took his first steps probably two weeks ago but is refusing to continue. I have decided to just stop worry about it and let him lead the way. Easier said than done sometimes.

Mine took forever to walk after taking her first steps! I just let her take her time and gain her confidence - theres no forcing it. Eventually she started walking around while holding onto my hands, and about 1-2 weeks after she started doing that she was walking WAY more independently! But again, I just let her lead the way :)

There is no rush or urgency. You can always hold babies hands and encourage them to walk with you, or hold something out in front of them to encourage steps. But like with everything else, they’ll do it when they’re confident enough and ready.
