Moderate / severe period cramps before BFP?

I’ve had low back pain and moderate cramps for a few days along with a tiny bit of spotting. Today the cramps and back pain were more severe, but NO AF?! Wondering who had period type cramps before a BFP. Seems to be very common to think period is on the way and then test positive!!
