Introducing bottle at 8 months? 🍼👶
For a few different reasons, I really need to get my baby to take a bottle, and quick. He's been exclusively nursed for 8 months, other than a few bottles in his first two weeks (difficulty latching) and a few around 3 months old when we went to visit my workplace and I didn't feel comfortable whipping it out 😅
I failed to keep introducing a bottle occasionally since then like I know I should have, but breastfeeding was so easy and I didn't anticipate the issues we are having now. I know it's my own fault 😖
Last week I tried the bottles we used in the beginning (Avent) and he was having none of it. (with pumped milk) He just kind of chewed on it and looked at me like wtf mom, give me your boobs lol
He wouldn't take it from hubby either. My mom suggested trying formula so that it would be completely new rather than his usual milk coming from an unusual place.. I'd rather keep pumping, but I'll try anything at this point. I'm desperate.
Has anyone introduced a bottle this late? Any tips or suggestions? Thanks ladies! ❤️
