Dark brown to blonde?

I really REALLY want to go blonde. I've done it before when I was younger but it didn't turn out well. Mostly because it was a yellow blonde and I have cool skin tones, so now I know that ash blonde would look WAY better. What are your opinions? Do you think I could pull off this color?

I think any color would look good on you as long as you get the right shade!

Get it professionally done. Not applying a toner can leave the hair looking yellow or copper color that most people try to avoid

I’m a hairdresser and I think you are a stunning brunette, HOWEVER, if you want to go blonde, you are absolutely correct! An ash blonde would be much more complimentary with your skin tone. My personal opinion on the one you chose however, is that it’s more silver than blonde 😃

I went dark brown to blondish silver and it killed my hair... I like the look but hate the texture.. had it professionally done and deep conditioners put in.. still rough

I have tried and tried and tried to get a colour like that.... this was the best I could do and if faded out to a yellow kinda silver colour within a week... not an easy colour to keep up xx

Another idea that i try at the salon when I need my color to be low maintenance or I have sensitive scalp is to keep a darker root and then let the rest of my hair be the lighter colors! 😇

Do your research and knowing yourself helps with finding the right shade. Determine coloring of skin (warm,neutral,cool), certain shades can bring out color in eyes well (if that’s your goal). They have quizzes online to discover if you’re a cool, warm, neutral. I think you’d be able to do blonde well if you find the right shade/coloring and I suggest a professional do it because I’ve messed up so many times with dying myself. Unless it’s highlights then that’s easier to do yourself with the right kits. Good luck!
