When to buy? Bad luck?

Question

So when did everyone start preparing for the baby? I want to start looking at clothing and small things and start getting ready as I am past the 20 week mark. We have our anatomy scan this coming week but I also know it's bad luck to bring things into the home before a child is born. Any opinions?

I'm 16 weeks and baby girl pretty much has everything. I just want to get some more girly clothes. I don't think it's bad luck. Being that your 20 weeks and pregnancy has been normal then your safe.

i started buying at 11 weeks when i got my bloodwork results back and knew the gender. i had literally everything done by 26 weeks. no sense in waiting till the last minute

I was buying clothes before we started trying. Mostly cuz I can't pass up a clearance deal and I knew it would come in handy someday soon.
We bought our crib, stroller and car seat already.

We had a changing table and a bed since I was like 15 weeks pregnant..
My husband's ex's water broke at 6 months and he wanted to prepare for this baby together while I was still very much healthy and mobile, so we built the baby furniture together and we were pretty lucky too because a few weeks after, all shops closed because of lockdown.
I don't think being prepared is bad luck.
I think it might be bad luck to get things while you're not even pregnant yet.

I got my girl’s crib at like 16 weeks. I didn’t know there was any superstition about buying stuff early. 🤷🏼‍♀️😂
