2nd month on clomid unmonitored

I got pregnant once 3 years ago and had a healthy pregnancy. I got pregnant this past November and had a missed miscarriage. I started trying again last month (didn’t try as much as usual) husband was sick and it was unsuccessful. I’m now taking it again but I’m unmonitored. I wasn’t sure if the second month stimulates the ovaries more and I should be monitored? My doctor doesn’t think it’s necessary to do the 7 day check and ultrasounds bc of my history of getting pregnant and always ovulating.
