Lockdown seriously messing with us.
Sooo many things are going wrong and all I can do is blame quarantine life 🤦
So I planned to wean around 1 year, but simultaneously we were told to quarantine, took my son out of daycare, AND he got majorly clingy. We are talking can't put him down for a second without causing screams and real tears!
So now he asks to nurse CONSTANTLY. He'll stick his hand in my shirt and refuse all other food/water, etc. He's also barely eating real food. I make sure he doesn't have BM for at least an hour before meals, and he still sits in the high chair and plays with his food, almost never actually swallowing. I'm assuming that this has to do with his proximity to me and the boob all the time. How can I get him interested in real food!???
Also, he now refuses all naps in the crib. I've tried having him cry it out, but he lasts 20-30 minutes with no let up, so I always give in and he naps on me or next to me. Again, I can only assume that this has to do with being around me all day and knowing that I'm always nearby?
I'm in NYC so we will still be restricted to our homes for a while. Hoping for any eating/ napping advice for a toddler who is obsessed with BM and suffering from a bad case of separation anxiety!
