Advice

So over the weekend my bestfriend and I got together with a group of other friends and everything was great! Maybe drank a little to much. My bestfriend left for the night and I decided to stay at my girlfriends and her husbands house along with another guy friend because I couldn’t drive! So my friend and her husband went to bed and i was left alone with my guy friend and everything thing was cool we were talking had a few beers and he had brought up how my bestie and I always get little to tipsy and decide to drive.. and I said no this its not always like that I just have to make sure she gets home safe.. and this is where he had mistaken the words “make sure” to I “finger” her on the way home! And that’s not at all what I said.. but main thing of this story that guy friend went back to the rest of our group and I said I “finger” her on the way home and now my bestfriend is like totally mad at me for something I didn’t even say.. so any advice?
