What to expect at first OBGYN appointment?

I have my first OBGYN appointment coming up for pregnancy. 
What should I expect? Is it getting to know the doctor and doing an ultra sound? Or will more tests be done?

My doctor had a lot of my medical history, but if they don't then a nurse will likely go over that with you. 
My doctor talked about diet a little and said she'd be ordering tests. 
My doctor's office has an ultrasound machine in office and my obgyn was able to do a TV ultrasound to verify and date the pregnancy, some offices don't and they send you to radiology at a different place (hospital or private center) to get it done and it may be on a separate day, but they should call to schedule that if it is. 
My doctor also ordered blood tests (which is standard) to check blood levels, iron, for me sugars and insulin, and a urine check, I also opted for cystic fibrosis and there was something else that was checked as well but I can't remember what it is. 
Right now with covid-19 your office may not be allowing visitors or guests for appointments / ultrasounds so I'd call and ask so you know what to expect.

Depends on how far along you’ll be and the protocols of their office. If you’re about 8 weeks they may do a dating ultrasound to confirm the pregnancy is viable. If you’re less than that then they likely wont do a dating scan as it will be too soon to see anything. 
However either way you will do a lot of paperwork for your medical history, family history, the father’s medical history, insurance info, and you’ll take your vitals, weight and leave a urine sample. Also they will do an exam to test for any STIs or if you’re due for a pap they’ll do that as well. And you can go over any questions you have

They did a urine test, ordered blood work, Pap smear, and a vaginal ultrasound to just make sure a baby was in there and in the right place. Didn’t get any ultrasound pictures, but I got to take a video of the heartbeat!

Depends on the office & how far along. Where I live the office fives you the referral for an ultrasound &you have to go somewhere else,same with blood work. So your first appointment is usually just family history & medical histories. Just a lot of paperwork. Then your weight & blood pressure, again depending on how far along you are a Doppler but they won’t even try that until 12w
