What would you do?

Hi mammas, 
Just wondering if I’m overthinking or being overly cautious here. I am due to return to work in less than week. I touched based with my boss and asked her what precautions they’re taking to limit spread of covid 19 so I’m prepared for my first day. I’m a pharmacist so will be working in close proximity with the rest of the staff (can’t maintain physical distancing). It turns out that other than sanitizing surfaces and washing & sanitizing hands, they’re not taking any precautions. They’ve currently closed doors to the public but will be opening them soon. 
I suggested the use of masks a couple of times for the staff even if there’s no foot traffic because it’s impossible to maintain physical distancing in a small space. I’m not sure why but they haven’t really entertained this idea even after my requests. 
I have no option but to go to work but am I being unreasonable asking for staff to wear masks considering that grocery stores, all retailers, all other pharmacies have already implemented them?
My husband suggested wearing my own mask and working if my requests are ignored but isn’t it more helpful if everyone’s wearing it? My mom who’s 64 will need to watch my daughter occasionally and I’m worried about any exposure to my daughter or my mom. I don’t think I should have to take my chances here when more could be done to protect us.

From what I have read, masks are recommended for people that are displaying signs of sickness. Cough, fever, etc. It doesn’t seem to be beneficial to healthy individuals. Of course, you could wear a mask if it makes you feel more comfortable.

Everyone should wear a mask if they can. Literally cannot wrap my head around why people are so resistant to this idea. You would think working in the healthcare field your supervisors would get it!

Masks are mandatory here in public if social distancing isn't possible. That is really strange that they wouldn't have you guys wearing masks but I'm not sure where you live and what the numbers look like there. I live in NY. I don't wear one at work because there is a ton of space between us and there are only 4 of us. If I were you I'd wear one anyway!

I would wear mask on my own and refer to your states safety policies. If your employer is not implementing the policy then I would call and complain if your state has a hotline (Kentucky has it but not sure of other states)

I use CVS at Target and all of the pharmacy staff are wearing masks where I live. They also started before we were shelter in place and it really blew up. I know it’s different because it’s a retail open to the public, but I would think your company would take more precautions. I work for a pharmaceutical company and the staff that works in our office and lab must wear masks. They also have split us into 2 shifts and sanitize between shifts. We can’t function if we all get sick, so the idea is if someone were to get sick, one shift would be operational. I would wear a mask if it makes you comfortable and maybe others would do the same if you asked.
