dating in the south vs the north??

I'm a rising college senior planning to make the move down south for graduate school (anywhere from VA to TX, but likely one of the Carolinas). I'm from NY originally but have been spending summers in NC since I was a baby, and I've always liked it more down there. I'm conservative, Christian, and was raised pretty old-fashioned. I've dated plenty of northern guys (NY, CT, RI) and while some of them were nice, I've always been way more impressed by southern guys I've dated. I've met northern guys with manners but it's been rare (in my experience). I live very close to a big, prestigious military academy (can probably guess which one) that has a student body from all over the US, and through dating apps, I've been on dates with guys from VA, AL, GA, TX, FL, etc. They open and close my car door for me, get my chair, yes ma'am/sir my parents, have great manners. Like to fish/hunt/shoot and tend to be more religious. I know this type isn't for everyone but it's just my personal preference for guys, I'm family oriented and love the outdoors and feel pretty out of place in NY to be honest. I don't like hook ups or casual dating and I want to find that forever person.

Is it true that there are differences in dating in the south vs the north? I've obviously heard of southern gentlemen but I know there's probably plenty of crappy guys down south as well.
