COVID Family Visits

I live in Texas where people just decided the pandemic is over. I sent this text to my immediate family. It is NOT going well.

Just so everyone can find a way to get used to the idea... we are expecting Addison around 38weeks (6 weeks from tomorrow). We are going to ask both of our families to truly isolate for 14 days if you want to HOLD the baby. My doctors suggested this start around 35 weeks in case she is early. What does that mean? Obviously, if you work or go to the grocery store, that's fine. Everyone will wear a mask and wash hands no matter what. We mean avoid going out to eat, going around extended family or people who go around extended family especially if they're not isolating, large group gatherings, random trips to stores just to get out, or going around friends.

If you can't or don't want to do that, it is 100% OKAY. We will Duo (FaceTime) call you or you can come see the baby from a safe distance. Our job is to protect Addison and she's coming out with passive immunity and hers will take a while to build. Please respect us enough to be honest if this is not something you plan to do. We will not be offended.
