I’m curious how many of your doctors wanted to confirm HCG levels and then test again to ensure they are rising. My first appointment and blood test isn’t til 8 weeks.

It’s normal for them not to test you until your first appointment, unless you have fertility issues or a history is miscarriages.

In the UK we don't ever get our HCG levels checked unless we have bleeding or suspected miscarriage. 🤷‍♀️

I’ve never had my pregnancies confirmed with hcg levels via blood work,always via ultrasounds. My first pregnancy was confirmed at about 6wks and we saw baby and heartbeat and my second was confirmed at about 8wks and we saw baby and heartbeat. Now with baby#3 on the way Appt is set for almost 9wks

I had mine tested early because of previous issues with progesterone but normally my doctor doesn’t do blood work.

I have to wait til 8 weeks for my first blood test, that’s another 4 weeks. I’m considering calling my doctor and requesting two HCG tests to ensure my levels are increasing and within range, but with everything going on my husband is relieved I don’t have to go to the hospital to get blood drawn. 
I had an early miscarriage last year so I’m extra nervous and testing very morning and my test line is super dark now but I had a little brown spotting yesterday and today and I think knowing my levels were doubling and within range would really help my nerves. I’m still mildly crampy but my boobs are less sore and I have no other symptoms. (I’m only 4 weeks)

Hcg starting at 10 dpo till 12 weeks of pregnancy. I’m at a fertility clinic. So I have weekly ultrasounds and labs. I think normally at reg ob they prob do just 2 to 3. To see that it’s going up.
