Length of induced labor?

Hey everyone, I'm currently only 1/2cm dilated and 60% effaced. I'm scheduled to be induced early on Friday morning. I would like to hear how long induced labor usually takes when you're that closed up? Any insight? Thanks!

I am not sure how long it usually takes but I am in the same boat and currently being induced! 🙃 I just got my IV hooked up and folley tune in place so here we go! Good luck to you ladies!!

My first son I was induced with not even a hint of labor on my own haha. I started my induction 6 am on a Thursday, had him 4:45 pm on Friday. So about 35 hours.

With my first daughter I was induced at 1cm and I had her in about 11 hrs after I was progressing quite slow in my opinion and it felt like I was never gonna have her, with my second induced labor on May 8th I went in believing I was 1 from my last dilation check and I was a 2 in triage and then a 3 in the delivery room and things went super fast and I had her 6 hours later and that includes them breaking my water and starting the pitocen , There’s a good chance things went quicker because my first and second child only have 13 months between them💗 good luck

I was Induced yesterday. Was 70%2cm when I came in. Took one dose of oral cytotec around 9:50am and then started on pitocon around 2pm. Baby boy was born last night at 10:04pm. I progressed pretty quickly once my water was broken but spent 2 hours pushing since baby boy decided to come out looking up at all of us ☀️

I was 1.5 cm at induction with about 50% effaced. The inserted the Foley Balloon for 12 hours and it got me fully effaced and 6cm. My water broke just before the balloon was removed. I started Pitocin and he was born 4 hours later. Honestly the worst of the pain was the last 2 hours. It really all depends on the person and the method of induction your provider chooses.

When I was induced I had a pessary inserted at 18:30 then examined at 22:00 and I was 2cm dilated she said she didn’t need to insert another pessary as I was progressing well with just the one, she then examined me again at midnight and she said she could break my waters but she won’t as she would like them to go on there own, 5:00am came and my waters broke contractions started straight away at 11:58 my son was born, so 12 hours from being induced I had my son but I was only in labour for 7 hours.
