When can you take a pregnancy test

When is the earliest time you can take a pregnancy test? I ovulated on the 18th & today it’s the 21th. I was so impatient so I took one today and it of course came out negative

I got a vvvfln at 10 dpo. I wouldn’t recommend testing early because chemical pregnancies are quite common. Test when AF is due xx

When you miss your period.  Taking one three days after ovulation isn't going give  you a positive result. You wouldn't even be pregnant yet. It takes 7 to 10 days the fertilized egg to travel down the fallopian tube then implant.  Then it takes another week or so for your body to build up enough hcg to register on a pregnancy test
