So I have been on a new birth control pill for around a month or so. I am quite confused as my period was technically supposed to start yesterday, however when I looked at my pill pack, I have been taking the sugar pills/the pills you take during your period, for about 4-5 days. Over the past week or so I have been having on and off spotting which as been light brown, light pink and a couple days ago was a tiny bit red but has not been like that since and is now very very light brown again. Because I was taking the “period” pills, shouldn’t my period have started 4-5 days ago? My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex twice in the last month, both being around my supposed “ovulation”. I haven’t been amazing at taking my pill and have forgotten to take it, having done so around the times that I had unprotected sex. So therefore, could the spotting be my period trying really hard to start, or could I be pregnant? Anyone had this happen to them & should I possibly take a test?!
