*B A B Y C L O T H E S. - Some of you may have seen yesterday I asked about fabric softener when washing the babies clothes as I was about to do it’s WHOLE wardrobe! I found the replies very interesting so I thought I’d share those with you. - I had roughly the below replies: Any fabric softener Sensitive skin only Don’t use it at all - One person mentioned they’ve never washed them before putting their babies in their clothes and although I’ve heard this only once before. Social media definitely made me think it was something you HAD to do! I felt awful at the thought of not washing ALL clothes before baby wore them. Until... - I shared that response and WOW. So many people came forward to say they in fact NEVER washes their babies clothes unless they’d been worn (obviously). I was stunned. I was about to make a huge job for myself, like many other Mams just because I thought you had to or, it was frowned upon not to wash them all. - So, my advice to Mamas to be... don’t. Don’t wash them all. Don’t make extra work for yourself and don’t feel pressured into doing so. No one will think any less of you! Your baby won’t care if it smells fresh out the store or fresh out the washer! Either way, it’s going to be sick (or worse💩) on them & that will create a whole new kind of washing! So in your final weeks of pregnancy (which are bloody tiring!) enjoy the rest. Enjoy the peace. Enjoy not having another bunch of clothes to worry about for those few extra weeks! - Thank you everyone who came forward to let me know about this. I’d have been one tired Mama washing then ironing all those clothes! 🖤 - Side note due to #covid19. I probably would wash anything new you’ve bought during this time, just to be sure but, anything before this... it’s a no from me! 😂🖤
